The Denver Broncos lost to the Indianapolis Colts 24-13 on Sunday and veteran star quarterback Peyton Manning, the Broncos leader is expectedly very disappointed with the result. The loss has also taken its toll on the veteran quarterback, who was non-committal about his future with the Broncos or the National Football League (NFL).

"My mindset right now is just disappointment after [the] game ... I'm disappointed, I kind of need to process this game, we'll meet [on Monday], I'm disappointed I need to process this game,’' Manning, who was asked about the loss to the Colts and about his return next season to ESPN.com. "Uh, yeah, I guess I just can't give that simple answer. I'm processing it. I can't say that. I could not say that.''

The Broncos were dominated by the Colts in the AFC Divisional Round match-up where Manning finished with 211 passing yards on 26-of-46 completions with just one touchdown. The worse thing for Manning was the loss came against young quarterback Andrew Luck, who was his replacement at Indianapolis under centre. Manning played for the Colts from

Manning admitted post-game that his team did not play well enough and gave credit to the Colts’ effort especially their defence, which according to Manning forced the his teams to “some bad executions”. Manning’s performance on Sunday was one of his worst in his NFL career. The 20 incomplete passes ranks third lowest, 211 passing yards and 13 points for Denver, the fourth fewest, 288 total yards for Denver all in the bottom five in his career. Manning admitted as well that he struggled for the most part in this regular season.

"I didn't play as well consistently in the second half of the season,'' Manning said. "I can't give you a great reason for that. Played well at times, but probably not as consistently, certainly didn't play as consistently in the second half of the season as I did in the first half.''
