Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles rushed to open the scoring in the first quarter and followed it up with another in the second-- this time off a pass from quarterback Alex Smith-- to help the Kansas City Chiefs take a 17-0 halftime lead over the visiting New England Patriots. Charles had another touchdown off a Smith pass in the third quarter as the Chiefs built the huge lead and never looked back to pull off the blowout 41-14 victory on Monday Night Football in Week 4 of the National Football League (NFL).

Charles had a total of 108 yards (92 rushing, 16 receiving) while another Chiefs RB, Knile Davis also had a good game with 107 rushing yards.

Courtesy of Charles and Davis, the Chiefs dominated the ground game on this one; Kansas City had a total of 207 rushing yards to New England's 75. The Chiefs also forced 3 turnovers-- 2 off Patriots QB Tom Brady, who finished with 159 passing yards on 14-of-59 completions with 1 TD.

With the win, Kansas City improved to 2-2 for the season while New England dropped to the same record. The Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5 and the Patriots face the Cincinnati Bengals in their next game.
