The Google Nexus 7 remains one of the best reviewed tablets around. For those still using the device, there are several ways to maximize user experience.

Securing a mobile device should a user's priority. According to Tested, there are several ways to do this. These include:

  • Choose Unlock Method - People can choose between pattern, PIN, and password unlock options. This can be an ideal option for those particular about their device security.
  • Set Automatically Lock -Also start setting up "Automatically Lock" timeout for you to enable to off your screen after you lock it. This will secure your tablet and will also help you save battery life.
  • Avoid Face Unlock -This can be considered as one of the most interesting features of the Nexus 7. However, people should be careful in using this method. This option will only let you blink to recognize that you are human that everyone can do. It may be an interesting way to secure the tablet but users are better off with additional protocol.

Encrypt Your Data

According to AndroidPIT, if users think that is not enough that they set a password for their Nexus to be able to secure everything on it, and then they should encrypt their data. Users can encrypt all the data of their tablet and set a PIN to decrypt it whenever the device is being used.

Enable Auto Rotation

This makes it convenient to adjust the display of the tablet to any position you want to hold it. Rotation of the screen is not set by default, so you have to set and enable the auto rotation by going to the Quick Settings and click Auto Rotate option.

Adjust to Larger Text

For users who find it uncomfortable to read small text on their Nexus 7 and don't want to hold it close to their face, adjust to larger text is the best option. Set and adjust the font in a larger text. To do this, users can go to the Settings menu, head to Display and Font Size, and choose the text size that you desire.

Turn Off WiFi During Sleep Mode

Save the battery life of your Nexus 7 by disabling the WiFi when you are not using it. Control it when you don't need like when you are already sleeping in the middle of the night. Jump to your WLAN settings and choose Advanced option. Tap the option Keep WiFi on during sleep and set if you want to have it all the time. Take note that this will limit your Internet connectivity of your device.
