The Google Nexus 6P made by Huawei will be carrier exclusive to SoftBank in Japan. The new smartphone was officially announced last week along with the LG-made Nexus 5X.

SoftBank will start taking pre-orders from today. It’s included the Nexus 6P in its Fall 2015/Winter 2016 line-up. The public will be able to pre-order only the 64 GB variant of the Gold colour model, specially named the Nexus 6P Special Edition.

The Nexus 6P is also available in Silver, Black and White. Softbank, which owns Sprint, hasn’t yet revealed the price of the phablet. The Gold colour model comes in 32 GB and 128 GB storage options. As speculated by Android Authority, Google might hold the exclusive rights to sell the Gold model with other storage options.

Google has yet to decide which carriers in the U.S. will market its newly launched Nexus duos. The search giant has made Google Store the one-stop-shop for the Nexus devices. As reported by Android Headlines, the newest members of the Nexus family will be available for pre-orders in Canada by the end of October.

Nexus 5X, however, will be sold by NTT in Quartz and Carbon color options. At the same time, Y!Mobile, which is owned by SoftBank, will come up with the Ice variant, as well.

The Huawei-made Nexus 6P is the successor to Motorola’s Nexus 6. It’s the most premium Nexus devices to date.

The first all-metal Nexus phone touts a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port for the first time ever. The Nexus 6P features 5.7-inch QHD display; Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 810 processor; 3 GB of RAM and a massive 3450 mAh battery.

In the Google Store, the Nexus 6P costs $699 (AU$961) for 32 GB; $749 (AU$1029) for 64 GB and $849 (AU$1167) for the 128 GB variant.
