Google introduced its new range of devices finally with the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. Both devices continue to sell well according to reports with pre-orders streaming in. Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 users will eventually get to experience the all new Android 5.0 Lollipop but other Nexus users may have to wait as new information suggests that the roll out has been delayed.

The Nexus series often becomes the first in line to receive any Android updates. The release of the Androd 5.0 Lollipop now brings to light when devices like Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will receive the firmware. According to Know Your Mobile, the roll out will now be on November 12. This is a week following the intended release.

Google still needs to fix a number of bugs thus the delay according to Android Police. For those who wish to experience the Android update already, people at XDA Developer's Forum has released a number of downloable versions of the Android 5.0 Lollipop. Compatible devices include:

  • Nexus 4
  • Nexus 5
  • Nexus 7 (2012)
  • Nexus 7 (2013)
  • Nexus 10
  • Sony Xperia Z
  • Samsung Galaxy S III Mini
  • Samsung Galaxy Nexus
  • Do you have one of those phones

A number of delays also hit the Nexus 6 device. While people in the United States can start ordering, those in the United Kingdom may have to wait until November 18. UK users can purchase the Nexus 6 starting at £28 on contract. As for those who want the Nexus 9, pre-orders are already up on Google Play Store and Amazon. The Nexus 9 is available starting at £319 for the 16GB version and £399 for the 32GB version.

The Android 5.0 gathered much attention following details of its Material Design. It is a radical transformation allowing Google to finally catch up with Apple in terms of intuitive design according to analysts.
