Several sources in the past have confirmed that LG is working on a refreshed version of the LG Nexus 5 (2013) for this year. A new report reveals that the LG variant will be carry the LG Nexus 5X moniker and it will be released on Sept. 29.

Sources have revealed to Android Authority that the LG Nexus 5X will be released along with the Huawei Nexus variant at the end of this month. CNET has also reported that the search engine giant is setting up a mega event for announcing the LG and Huawei Nexus phones on Sept. 29.

The LG Nexus 5X is not officially confirmed by Google. Android Authority stated that the company is yet to decide on a final name from the handset. Droid Feed that cited a Weibo account as its source has revealed several details on the specifications of the handset.

The LG Nexus 5X will be featuring a 5.2-inch that supports either full HD or Quad HD resolution. The Snapdragon 808 chipset and 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM will be powering up the device. The front side of the handset will be equipped with dual stereo speakers. The bottom side of LG Nexus 5X will feature a USB Type-C port.

It is expected to arrive with a 13 MP Sony IMX 278 camera on its rear. It will be assisted by a dual LED flash. Under the camera, it features a circular fingerprint scanner. A recent report from Phone Arena claimed that the LG Nexus 5X will sport a 5 MP front-facing camera.

The LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus smartphone will be the first smartphones to come preloaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The LG Nexus 5X will be available in inbuilt storage editions of 16 GB and 32 GB.

Both the storage variants will be priced at $399 and $499, respectively. The LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus smartphone will be for buying on Google Store from Sept. 29.

The LG Nexus 5X will come in three colors, white, black and blue. The handset measures 146.9 x 72.9 x 8/9.8 and is equipped with a battery of 2,700 mAh capacity. As of this writing, Google has not confirmed the purported specs and pricing of the
