Destiny
New PlayStation armour will be up for grabs in the next "Destiny" Iron Banner. Bungie

The coming week will certainly be among the busiest for “Destiny” players. Bungie has scheduled a new Twitch stream for the upcoming expansion as well as the return of the Iron Banner.

Announced via the Bungie Weekly Update, the Stream of Iron will showcase some new content coming with the September DLC, Rise of Iron.

“This will not be an incursion into the Plaguelands. That’s for later. Before your adventures into new territories begin, you’re invited to join us for an exploration of how the world you know has changed with the passage of time,” said Community Manager David “DeeJ” Dague.

The developer is calling the next Twitch stream the “Cosmodrome Winter Tour,” set to happen on July 20, Wednesday, 10:00a.m.

Happening a day before the Twitch stream is the return of the Iron Banner. According to VG 247, Bungie is bringing back the PvP again following its cancellation due to matchmaking issues.

Starting July 19 at 10:00 a.m. PT, “Destiny” players can go back to their regular PvP battles in the game. The event will last until July 26, 2:00 a.m. PT.

Iron Banner will feature the Control game mode. Rewards that will be up for grabs include gauntlets, sniper and pulse rifles and boots. The pulse rifles really have a certain zing to the design and firepower. There will also be exclusive PlayStation armour up for grabs, as seen in the image above.

Apart from the two events, Bungie also reiterated the split activities for PS4 and Xbox One consoles, and the legacy consoles. Starting Aug. 16, players who are still on legacy consoles will no longer receive major “Destiny” updates or content releases. But that date also marks the beginningof the account import process or the PS4 and Xbox One, since the progression between the two consoles within their respective console families will no longer be shared.

For those who will continue with legacy console play, it’s best to get the Moments of Triumph shirt code for the Year Two Triumphs page on Bungie.net. After Aug. 16, character data will no longer be accessible to legacy consoles. Progression and in-game rewards earning via the Year Two Moments of Triumph Record Book will continue until Sept. 20 for legacy consoles.
