"Newsroom" star Alison Pill was left red face when she accidentally tweeted a topless picture of herself on social networking site Twitter.

The 26-year-old actress accidentally posted a topless photo of herself for all her 16,000 followers to see. But she immediately took the photo down upon realization of what she just shared in public. Unfortunately, it was already too late since Twitter users have grabbed the photo that now goes viral over the web.

But instead of being devastated, Alison took her mistake as a joke. She admitted that she was indeed the girl in the photo who was laying in bed and wearing nothing but glasses.

"Yep. That picture happened," she quickly admitted. "Ugh. My tech issues have now reached new heights, apparently."

"How a deletion turned into a tweet... Apologies," she tweeted again.

Apparently her fans don't see anything to be sorry about, with one posting, "Honestly, we didn't mind."

Lucky for Alison, her fiancé, who probably was the intended receiver of the photo was amused rather than alarmed of the mistake. In support of her girlfriend, Jay Baruchel jokingly called Alison a "hilarious dork."

"My fiancée is a hilarious dork. Smartphones will get ya," he tweeted, adding the hashtag, "#imjustgladitdidnthappentomefirst."

It wasn't the first time a celebrity accidentally tweeted a private photo. Years ago, "Paramore" singer Hayley Williams also tweeted an accidental picture.
