New update for 'Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition' goes live; new characters and features now available
Nintendo’s puzzle game “Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition” received a new software update recently. The update does not only enhance some parts of the core gameplay of “Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition” but also adds several new contents.
According to a report by Nintendo-Insider, the gaming giant Nintendo has updated the 3DS exclusive puzzle game to version 2.0. The update is geared toward enhancing the players' experience, so they should update the game as soon as possible. The slew of new content provides players with new dimensions in playing the game. First off, the update adds new characters. These can be unlocked by reaching certain ranking in Score Attack. Among the characters are several iterations of Mario and Luigi, which can be used as leaders. These include Metal Mario, Boomerang Luigi, Double Mario, Rock Luigi and Gold Mario.
The update also introduces new Transformations and Allies, which are available for Magikoopas and Golden Goomba Towers. Players will also be allowed to combine Goombas with other characters, including Larry Koopa.
As for gameplay changes, the update adds several new features for players to get their hands on. First of the additions are five new Free Challenges in Score Attack. Nintendo has also updated five Fixed Challenges to give players a set team to use.
A new World Rankings is also added to the game. In this feature, players are allowed to upload their high score and compete against other players from all over the world. The Total and Monthly rankings are tallied.
Lastly, “Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition” also allows players to have access to Replays. Gamers can also show off their replays to other players from around the globe.
