Nintendo’s hit brawler “Super Smash Bros. 4” currently houses and impressive roster with over 50 characters from a slew of titles from both Nintendo and third-party companies. It seems that the game’s roster is set to further expand with the addition of the characters that topped the recently concluded Fighter’s ballot.

New rumours circulate about who will join the roster of “Super Smash Bros. 4” as Nintendo is yet to reveal the winners of the Fighter’s Ballot. The latest update for the game introduced three new extra character slots, after seeing the slots fans were quick to speculate as to who will be added as DLC soon.

A report by Master Herald notes that two characters who could join the game are Isaac from “Golden Sun” and Wolf from “Star Fox.” Isaac is a very popular choice among gamers ever since “Super Smash Bros. Brawl” for the Wii featured a slew of “Golden Sun” homages. Isaac was even used as an assist character in the title.

Wolf on the other hand is the ally of Fox and Falcon. Both characters are already part of the “Super Smash Bros. 4” roster so seeing him join will be exciting for “Star Fox” fans.

In a report by Christian Today, game developer Yacht Games announced that “Shovel Knight” will not appear in “Super Smash Bros. 4” soon. The developer did not completely dismiss the idea of “Shovel Knight” joining the roster. Rumours about the inclusion of “Shovel Knight” began when an amiibo listing for the character was revealed months ago.

Other sources point to the Inklings of “Splatoon” as being part of the roster. With the success of the team-based shooter on the Wii U, Inklings are highly likely to join the fray. Since “Splatoon” is a Nintendo exclusive, the inclusion of Inklings are very possible.

Nintendo is very quiet on the possible DLC characters, and the company has not announced any date as to when it will reveal them. But since the Fighter Ballot ask players for their favourite characters, the rumours could prove to be true.
