The Steam library is so vast that at times, plenty of top-notch titles fly under the radar, failing to capture everyone’s attention. With numerous games getting released each month, gamers can miss out on a few precious gems. Here is a list of some of the new games released on Steam in the past few days.

‘The LEGO® NINJAGO® Movie Video Game’ | Action, LEGO | US$39.99 (AU$50.23)

This isn’t exactly considered an under-the-radar title, considering that it is based on a top-grossing movie franchise. However, based on early reviews, it’s shaping up to become a favourite.

“The LEGO® NINJAGO® Movie Video Game” allows gamers to play as ninjas Lloyd, Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane, Nya and Master Wu. They are tasked to protect the island of Ninjago from the nefarious plans of Lord Garmadon. The game has eight locations to visit, as well as the new Challenge Dojo and Battle Maps, so LEGO fans may find plenty of things to do while they wait for the next big AAA title to drop.

‘Echo’ | Indie, Action, Stealth | US$24.99 (AU$31.39)

A surprise early hit from developer Ultra Ultra, “Echo” attempts to reinvent stealth-action games to the fullest. Enemy AI adjusts to the behaviour of the player. If, for example, they fight with guns blazing, the bad guys (enemies that look like the main character) will be as aggressive. On the other hand, a stealthier approach will result to the AI resorting to sneakier strategies as well.

The title provides plenty of choices in terms of getting from one place to another. With its Very Positive rating on Steam, “Echo” looks forward to become one of those precious indie darlings of 2017.

‘Figment’ | Indie, Hand-drawn, Music | US$19.99 (AU$25.11)

For something that’s easy on the eyes, look no further than “Figment.” It is an action-adventure game set in the most surreal place in the universe: the human mind.

According to its Steam page, the game contains high-quality music that plays an integral role in the gameplay. It also boasts a nice balance between puzzle and fighting, so those who dare enter the mysterious world of “Figment” may need to brace themselves to beat the Nightmares within.
