Very recently, reports on new smartphone launches have surfaced online. Motorola and OnePlus announced their new products that will be based on Android platform. While Chinese smartphone maker launched the OnePlus 2, Motorola introduced the third generation Moto G and two new variants of the third generation Moto X.

Third Generation Moto G

With the third generation Moto G or the Moto G 2015, Motorola brings a low cost smartphone with some good features. The Moto G 2015 sports a 13 MP camera with an image sensor, which is also used in the Nexus 6 and it features the 5-inch 720 display, similar to the 2014 model, reports Computerworld.

The new Moto G will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and also gets an option for 8 GB and 16 GB storage along with a microSD slot. Besides that, the phone also sports a 5 MP front camera and 4G, reports The Guardian.

The third generation Moto G featuring 8GB of storage and 1GB of RAM will be available at US $180 (247 AUD). The 2015 Moto G model featuring 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM will be available at a price tag of US $220 (302 AUD).

Third Generation Moto X

Motorola has released two new smartphones, namely, the Moto X Play and Style, which are two larger flagship devices of the company. The Moto X Play sports a 5.5in 1080p display, 21 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera with a flash and assures battery life of upto two days, reports The Guardian. The publication also mentioned that the smartphone will be available in August.

Motorola has also introduced the Moto X Style, which features a larger 5.7-inch version. The phone has a high screen-to-body ratio that keeps the size of overall device relatively small for the size of the display. The smartphone sports a 1080p display just like Moto X Play and 21 MP rear camera but has shorter battery life.

OnePlus 2

OnePlus had launched its OnePlus 2 in a virtual reality event. According to a report on Tech 2, the 16 GB version of OnePlus 2 will be available at a price tag of around US $359 (494 AUD), the 64 GB version has been priced at around US $390 (536 AUD). The metal design of OnePlus 2 makes it look plush and gives a premium look to the phone. The company’s logo has been taken out from the front. The handset features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a fingerprint scanner, which is faster than the iPhone TouchID that will save upto five fingerprints and a USB Type-C port.

The smartphone features a 13 MP rear camera and a new solution that will allow to take 50 MP photos. Additionally, the camera also gets a slow motion mode. OnePlus 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset that comes coupled with 4 GB RAM. The phone runs on OxygenOS, which is not completely an Android platform and comes with significant changes. As suggested by various leaks earlier, the OnePlus 2 gets a 3300 mAh battery.
