Recent reports are claiming that the new Nexus 7 tablet will deliver numerous enhancements such as the inclusion of a Qualcomm processor and lower price scheme. Other speculations point out to the latest device's launch on May 2013 at the Google I/O event with a predicted release date some time in July 2013.

The unidentified Google sources revealed that the new Nexus 7 tablet will have a larger screen display after decreasing the thick bezel that the current Nexus 7 model features. The other developments on the new Nexus 7 tablet include the resolution increase from the current 1280x800p and 164ppi HD screen display.

Instead of the NVIDIA Tegra chip, Google will reportedly incorporate a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor to the second-generation Nexus 7 tablet in order to deal with the power consumption issues. Another reason that will make the new Google and Asus Nexus 7 remarkable is the low pricing scheme.

According to the Reuters report, sources revealed the upcoming tablet could be offered with a lower starting price of US$150 compared to the current Nexus 7 tablet starting price at US$200. The sources further claimed that shipping will begin this July.

Google's hard work on the Nexus 7 tablet successor is clearly an attempt to compete in the market with the other devices from rival companies. Technology giant Apple is reportedly working on the iPad Mini 2 equipped with a high-resolution Retina screen display.

The new Nexus 7 tablet will battle as well with Amazon's Kindle Fire devices running on Google's branched version of the Android mobile operating system and Samsung's stylus-enabled Galaxy Note 8.0. These devices are considered as some of the best-selling tablets in the technology market aside from the Apple iPad and iPad Mini.
