Considered to be one of the staples that made kart-racing games a thing, the “Mario Kart” games have always proven to be fun and exceptional, and “Mario Kart 8” is no exception. A lot of Nintendo fans consider the latest iteration a must-have, partly because of the new Easter egg-filled “Mario Kart 8” DLC that just came out recently.

The second and last piece of DLC to hit “Mario Kart 8” comes with three new characters, two new tracks and a new 200CC mode that has reportedly changed everything in the game. Before discussing that, however, the “Mario Kart 8” DLC Pack 2 made the rounds, thanks to the various Nintendo-related Easter eggs found in the new tracks.

According to an article by Kotaku, the new “Super Bell Subway” track features a fairly impressive graffiti painting that is essentially a giant tribute to the first “Super Mario” that came out on the NES. The graffiti painting in particular shows the first two stages of “Super Mario” in its complete glory.

Fans of the “Animal Crossing” games are also in for a treat, as the track related to that game also has a special secret. Near the finish line, a bit of the “Animal Crossing” music can be heard, though players will want to turn down the game’s music to listen to it.

The Zero Review has also found some notable Easter eggs in the new “Mario Kart 8” DLC. These include a promotional poster for “Mario Kart 8,” various wind-up toys of the Italian Plumber’s foes over the years, a “Kung-Fu Panda” joke poster and a teaser for the upcoming Wii-U game “Yoshi’s Wooly World,” which a lot of fans are reportedly excited for.

While the new tracks are nice, the second “Mario Kart 8” DLC pack has also been called noteworthy for its 200CC mode. Kotaku has stated that this mode changes everything, as the game ramps up the speed and has been called “too fast” by some of the game’s hardcore fans.

Anyone interested in “Mario Kart 8” DLC can check out the game’s official site for details. The first pack brings Link from “The Legend of Zelda” to the racetrack as a playable character, among other things, and both packs can be bought for $11.99.
