LG announced the mid-range LG G3 Stylus smartphone a week before the IFA 2014 event scheduled in Berlin. However, this 3G-only handset will also be exhibited in IFA next week.

The LG G3 Stylus looks very much similar to 2014 flagship LG G3, especially with the same 5.5-inch display size. However, the upcoming device tied to model number D855 differs from the high-end G3 with respect to other specifications and features. The unique selling point of the G3 Stylus is its Rubberdium pen (or stylus), according to GSM Arena.

The device will come packed with an abundance of entertainment and productivity apps to fully utilize the potential of the pen with effortless drawing, writing and sketching. When it comes to key specifications, the LG G3 Stylus' 5.5-inch IPS display will be complemented by 960 x 540 pixels qHD screen resolution. The handset will be 10.2 mm thick and 163 g in weight.

Also, the phone will come with the same Floating Arc narrower edges, slimmer bezels around the display and the much-loved metal-clad look seen in the LG G3. The device will be powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. As far as the camera specification goes, the phone will sport a good 13 MP rear-facing camera unit and a 1.3 MP front-facing snapper.

In addition, the Stylus is expected to house 8 GB of internal storage along with microSD card slot for expansion. The smartphone will run on Android OS v4.4.2 KitKat along with the company's UX user interface on top of it. This killer handset is backed by a powerful 3,000 mAh battery unit.

Other features include Dual Window support, Smart Keyboard, Touch and Shoot, Gesture Shot, QuickMemo+ and Knock Code. Furthermore, the phone will come in black, white and gold shades, according to LG News Room.

Apparently, the upcoming LG G3 Stylus will hit the store shelves first in Brazil in September, followed by Asia, Middle East, Africa and CIS. Nevertheless, the price and the availability information pertaining to Stylus will be made official during the time of device launch.
