The last model of iPhone 6, which involved a complete redesign of the device, was launched in Sept. 2014. The name of the next Apple smartphone continues to ignite speculations all over the Internet. Consistent rumors have suggested that Apple is planning to break all the traditional practices this year, including its naming pattern. The next iPhone is likely to arrive in Sept., and is expected to be called iPhone 6S or iPhone 7. Here are few of the most notable business uses of the next generation iPhone.

Force Touch

The most anticipated feature of the new iPhone is the Force Touch which is likely to have benefits particularly for business users. Force Touch is a pressure-sensitive touchscreen that can differentiate between a light touch and a forced tap which allows it to react accordingly. For instance, a feather touch would open the email but a heavier pressure would open the reply screen. This would help business users accomplish tasks more swiftly.

Built-in electronic SIM

A report on Financial Times says 3 Mobile, Vodafon and Orange are preparing to switch to electronic SIM cards in the UK along with AT&T in the US. Electronic SIM cards will help people to switch between networks and payment plans conveniently. This could be of great help to business users who could set up separate accounts for professional and personal calls.

New Notes app and Quick Type shortcuts

The all new iOS 9 would enable Apple to attract business users through a redesigned Note app. Now, users would be able to use their finger to sketch, take photos without leaving the app and even compile webpages from Safari directly from Maps or attachments from another app. The new Notes app will be well equipped to compete with Evernote or OneNote. Moreover, the iOS 9 would introduce a host of new keyboard shortcuts which would significantly help business users to work more efficiently.

Expanded Home Button functionality

Reports also note that the new dynamic home button may be further redesigned to increase efficiency and multi-tasking capabilities. A patent application describes a system in which the user can use the phone’s fingerprint sensor for navigation. The expansion of the home button functionality would incorporate Touch ID into other purposes beyond verification and unlocking.

Improved performance and Wireless charging

The new A9 processor is likely to ensure better performance which would make the new generation of iPhone more power efficient than its predecessors. The increased speed would be reflected in improved power-management. The wireless charging my also facilitate business users on the move to charge the phone without any dependency. The new iPhone is also expected to house a better battery which in turn would increase performance.

New Wallet app

Passbook gets replaced with a brand-new Wallet app where the frequent business travelers can store electronic boarding passes, exactly the way it worked with Passbook. Additionally, the Wallet will be the home of Apple Pay. It will also allow users to save several debit and credit cards – different cards for personal and professional purposes.

New Security updates

The new iOS 9 would also bring in new security features. The new six-digit passcodes would help business users keep confidential professional data safe on the iPhone. Along with that, there will be two-factor authorisation whenever the user tries to login from a different device.

Better front-facing camera

The increased resolution of the front facing camera can also be very useful for business users. The 1920 x 1080 resolution may result in uninterrupted conversations with colleagues and clients via Skype or Facetime.
