Apple has just completely revolutionized its new TV set top box. In addition to having a more modern hardware, the way that users will interact with the device has also been changed.

One particular change that was applied to the new Apple TV that its avid users will certainly love is that they now have different kinds of new apps to choose from. To access the selection, they have to go to the Apple TV-focused App Store - which is filled to the brim with a multitude of games and other apps from third party developers, according to Wired.

This is the Cupertino tech giant's very first device to have its focus on bringing an iOS experience to the living room. With its new operating system - which, in turn, is based on iOS - has allowed today's game developers for Apple to come up with creative games, as well as other related tools such as Metal and Xcode.

Apart from that, using the new Apple TV has now also been made easier. CNET has reported that Apple TV users can easily access the titles that are stored within the device by talking to Siri - Apple's famous digital personal assistant.

Users can simply say "Show me funny TV shows" and Siri will show a list of television shows that have been tagged under the Comedy category. By tapping into the device's universal search features, content from various TV channels can be accessed. By a simple Siri command, the Apple TV user can watch shows on Showtime, iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, and HBO.

Siri can now filter the user's search based on the content's release date, director, age rating and cast. Users can even command Siri to "Show me that 'Modern Family' episode with Edward Norton," and Siri will do exactly that.

"Today, when you are looing for a particular TV show or movie, you have to open every app," Eddy Cue, Senior Vice President of Apple's Internet Software and Services, said. "With Siri, it will search across all your content apps by posing a request, such as, 'Siri, show me family movies, animated only, and just the new ones."
