With the Apple Watch coming out recently, it was interesting to note that the device would actually have the ability to play video games. To capitalize on that possibility, WayForward have announced a new title that will be exclusive to the Apple Watch: “Watch Quest: Heroes of Time,” which was reportedly made just for the Apple Watch.

The game will apparently be the first adventure game made exclusively for the new device, though Touch Arcade noted that it might actually be the second adventure title for it. The game will reportedly be a launch title for the device and will coincide with the release of the Apple Watch, which comes out this month, on April 24.

While “Watch Quest” was made exclusively for the Apple Watch, the user would also need an iPhone if they want the full gameplay experience. As it turns out, the Apple Watch will be used for the actual journey for the player’s chosen hero, while the iPhone will be used to represent the player’s kingdom. This could prove to be an interesting method of playing the game.

Apparently the game will also boast “familiar faces’ who will grace the title with their presence, though it’s currently unknown as to who they will be. On top of that, there will also be more “Mash Up” heroes who will be coming to “Watch Quest” soon, though once again the information and details as to what a “Mash Up” hero is are currently slim.

It’s also interesting to note that “Watch Quest” will supposedly run for several hours, which could prove to be very troublesome. Given that the game is on an Apple Watch, there may not be a lot of time for gameplay, considering the devices unproven battery power has yet to be given a public testing.

WayForward stated that “Watch Quest” would be a free download and would come with a free training mission to give players a good feel of the game. Afterwards players can purchase several “Quest Packs” from the iPhone, which will contain a good variety of heroes and missions to choose from.
