Inner conflicts seem to fill Ramsay Street on the upcoming episode of “Neighbours.” On Thursday, Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley) deals with another battle between love and faith. After sharing a passionate moment with Paige Smith (Olympia Valance), he feels ashamed for going against his priestly vows and decides to leave for a while to sort things out. It’s interesting whether he’d choose Paige this time or stick with his commitment to the church.

Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) is also deeply disturbed after learning about Regan’s (Sabeena Manalis) tragic death. Worse, he finds himself in big trouble that may just cost his career. Other “Neighbours” cast members who will also appear on the Oct. 13 episode include Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin), Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall), Ned Willis (Ben Hall), Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) and David Tanaka (Takaya Honda).

“Neighbours” also stars Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) and Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner), Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney), Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Meer), Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey) and Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta).

“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Leo approaches Amy at The Waterhole and wonders whether she has a hot date. Amy reveals it’s his brother, David. Leo seems to accept defeat, but leaves Amy with a provocative thought. “If you ask me, you’re going for the wrong brother,” Leo says, making Amy giggle. Digital Spy reports that Aaron arranges the date between Amy and David, but something unexpected happens.

Another preview video shows Jack informing Paige that he has to go back to Brisbane for a few days to talk things through with the church. He feels guilty for leaving her while she’s recovering, but Paige assures him she’s okay and asks him to take all the time he needs. He tells Paige again that he loves her and Paige says the same. The two share a kiss. Digital Spy spoilers suggest that Jack is struggling with guilt after what he did with Paige. He reckons he’s no longer able to perform his duties and finds himself conflicted once again between Paige and priesthood.

Speaking of guilt, Karl feels responsible for Regan’s death and worries that he might have committed a medical malpractice. Meanwhile, Ramsay Street residents are still on the edge, knowing that Jacka is still out there.

“Neighbours” recap

On Wednesday, John desperately looked for Paige after the balloon crash. He found her by the beach, conscious but freezing from cold. He carried her to a shed so she could warm up. He took off her wet clothes and put a thick blanket on her. She stopped shaking, but felt guilty about jumping off the hot air balloon to save herself. She also said that she thought of Jack when she thought she’s going to die. Jack also said he couldn’t imagine the thought of losing her and professed his love for her. The two kissed and made love right for the very first time. After, they cuddled together happily. They geared up to leave when Brad arrived. He saw Paige’s clothes on the floor, and Jack had to explain why they have to take them off.

Meanwhile, Elly was unconscious and Mark performed first aid on her. Karl tried to call for a neurosurgeon but no one seemed to be available. Left with no choice, he decided to put an incision on Regan’s head to save her. Later, the victims were rushed to the hospital and Mark was told that Elly’s going to be alright, thanks to him. Karl, on the other hand, appeared to be bothered by something. He confided in on Toadie and said that he wasn’t feeling 100 per cent okay when he operated on Regan. Karl wondered whether his decision resulted to more harm than good for Regan, but Toadie assured him that he did the right thing. Karl still looked unconvinced. Later, he was devastated to hear that Regan died from post-surgery complications. While struggling to deal with the news, David showed up. David informed him that one nurse was saying to the others that she smelled alcohol on Karl’s breath and reckoned that while he’s operating, he might be under the influence. David also heard that the nurse is going to report Karl.

In another room, Paul asked Steph about her accident. Mark arrived and apologised for not being there for her. She said Jacka came to see her and mentioned the balloon. She thought of going there to warn everyone. Mark told her that the balloon crashed, and that Jacka was responsible. Meanwhile, Tyler went to check in on Piper, who was still reeling from what happened. Tyler hugged and comforted her. He said he was worried sick when he heard about the news on the radio. Their moment was broken when Xanthe suddenly arrived.

Later, Ned called Brad and asked to speak with him alone. A nervous Ned said that he did a terrible thing.
