In the clip, Susan tells Elly that until the issue about her and Angus is resolved, Elly has to take some leave from school. Elly is gutted that Susan seems to believe Piper, who said that Elly’s encouraging Angus. “I may have said a few things that gave him the wrong impression,” Elly says, but denies that she consciously encourage his crush.

“Neighbours” recap

On Monday, Brooke’s ex confronted her for ripping him off. Xanthe said she called him to make sure that Brooke’s not doing the same thing to Gary. Brooke denied Xanthe’s accusations, but the young girl ordered her to return the money she owed her ex. Brooke reluctantly agreed and handed over some payment. Xanthe also demanded Brooke the whole story.

Xanthe was shocked when Brooke revealed that the jewellry she’s been selling is fake. Xanthe could not believe that her mum has been scamming people, including their neighbours, all this time. Xanthe gave Brooke back the ring and told her to sell it. “You obviously need the money,” Xanthe said. The young girl was in for another surprise – Brooke admitted that she’s not going to Perth but to Adelaide instead. Brooke said she needed to start afresh in a place where nobody knows her. Brooke invited Xanthe to come with her, but she said she needed time to think first.

Xanthe rushed over to the Kennedys, hoping to talk to Ben or Elly but both weren’t there according to Angus. As Xanthe confided in on Angus about her confusion, she heard the cab leave and was devastated to realise that her mum left without her. When Xanthe went home, she found Brooke, who said she’s still waiting for her. However, Gary and Sheila arrived and said they won’t allow Xanthe to leave with Brooke. Apparently, Xanthe told them the whole story. Earlier, Sheila grilled Gary about the cash prize they won in “Family Feud.” Backed in a corner, Gary was forced to admit that he gave it to Brooke instead of depositing it in a bank. Sheila was incredulous, but Gary insisted he trusts her. That definitely changed now that the truth’s out.

After learning the truth about Leo, Paul urged Tim Collins to kill the Terese-Maxine scoop. Tim said Terese might be able to convince him, so Paul asked for her help. Paul met Terese at Harold’s, where he revealed that Leo was behind the new company. After recovering from the initial shock, Terese agreed to work with Paul to stop Tim from running the story. The next day, Terese met with Tim, who wanted Piper’s incriminating footage of him. He also said he wanted to put up a tender for the man’s shed. Terese agreed to his terms and Tim said he’ll shelve the story… for now.

Later, Terese fired Leo for betraying her. Paul then appeared and lashed out at him for betting on Amy to sleep with her. Paul warned him for messing up his business and his personal life. At home, Leo ranted to David, who encouraged him to pursue Amy. Leo really likes Amy, but he’s scared she won’t talk to him anymore. Meanwhile, Paul and Terese had dinner to talk about the recent events. Terese proposed teaming up and submitting a joint bid for the man’s shed, which would increase their chances to outdo Leo and Tim. Paul agreed and a deal was made.
