“Neighbours” recap

Last week, John went to Paige’s house to apologise for what happened. Paige was clearly incensed for being left off, and asked John to leave. Piper prodded Paige to do some investigation about John or as Mandy said, Jason Jones. Later, Paige went to John’s house and Mandy greeted her warmly. Paige set her straight and said, “I don’t trust you.” Paige revealed to her that she got her brother, Bailey, to do an online search to do a match of John’s face with the name Jason Jones. Nothing came up, Paige said, which clearly upset Mandy. John walked in and Paige filled him in. John brushed her off and said he and Mandy are going away. After thinking through about it, Paige went again to John’s house to apologise with a peace offering. Paige brought pizza to share for lunch, and whilst serving, Mandy revealed that John’s favourite is pineapple. Her statement seemed to have triggered something in John, and he asked her how he got the scar on his chin. Mandy told them that he got it during a skiing accident. John revealed that he doesn’t have a scar, and he can’t eat Hawaiian since he’s allergic to pineapple. Caught up in her lies, Mandy was forced to admit that she’s really not John’s girlfriend. Shortly after, she was shown out the door.

Xanthe ran into Ben, who said he said sorry for not being a good friend. Later, Ben talked to Piper about Xanthe acting weird and they sought to check on her. They went to her house but Sheila said she’s out with Alison. Meanwhile, Xanthe went to the medical centre to have a breast augmentation. Piper figured out where she was and they went there in an attempt to change her mind. However, no amount of convincing mattered since Xanthe said she’s already made up her mind.

Amy and Jimmy visited Paul, who just came home from the hospital. Amy pleaded not to shut them out and said they want to be part of Paul’s life, despite the hurt he has caused. Whilst Jimmy was setting up games, Paul told Amy that his future looks bleak and it seems like he’s heading to prison. Later, Amy went to seek Toadie’s help and asked him to look into Paul's case. She said she just wants to give Paul clarity to help him survive for the weeks ahead. Toadie agreed and went to Paul’s with some bad news. Toadie told him that if found guilty, Paul will spend 15 to 20 years in jail. Scared of being stuck in prison for a long time and knowing that his loved ones don’t believe he’s innocent, Paul packed his bags and ran away. He left Amy a note saying bidding goodbye to her and Jimmy. The last scene shows him leaving Erinsborough.
