Channel Eleven posted a sneak peek of Wednesday’s episode, showing Mark as he walks up to Brad to invite him to the police station for questioning. Mark also goes to Paige’s house to tell her that John’s memory came back. The trailer wraps as someone calls Paige and when she turns around, she looks at the man from head to toe, clearly surprised with what she saw.

Digital Spy reports that Paige and John will go out on their first proper date, but it will be cut short when John is summoned by the police once again. Mark shows him a photo and John immediately remembers everything. Meanwhile, in light of the new evidence, Brad and Terese begin to doubt about Paul’s involvement in the explosion.

“Neighbours” recap

On Tuesday, John went to the police station and talked to Mark about the flashbacks he’s been having. Mark realised that it was the reason why Paige was asking questions. Speaking of Paige, she went to the station and asked about John. Later, Mark and Detective Crabb questioned Wendy again. Wendy stood by her original statement – that she saw John the entire time, meaning he couldn’t have caused the explosion. When Wendy left, Crabb lashed at Mark and told him the case is closed. Crabb then told John that after checking it further, they found that his alibi is solid and the pieces of evidence don’t match him at all. She told him that he’s free to go. When John left, Mark said he’s not convinced – he believes there’s something worthy of following up. He volunteered to do the legwork on his spare time, but Crabb warned him not to do it or he’ll lose his job.

Defying Crabb’s orders, Mark called Wendy again to recount her story. He confronted her about the spike of her deposits and withdrawals after her testimony about the explosion. He asked where she got the money and she made up a story about getting a big tip, but Mark wasn’t buying it. Crabb walked in, clearly infuriated at Mark for his disobedience. Backed in a corner, Wendy was forced to admit that she was paid to lie about John’s whereabouts at the time of the Lassiters explosion.

Later, John thought of celebrating his freedom by inviting Paige out for a friendly date. However, Paige refused, saying she’d wish it would be more than just that but it’s not something that John wanted. Paige said she’s trying to keep their boundaries, as John asked her to. After holding back for so long, John finally gave in to his feelings and kissed Paige.

Ben woke up at the closed bar and didn’t find Angus and Xanthe. He checked his phone and saw Xanthe’s message that read, “Angus bailed. Gone after him.” Elsewhere, Xanthe was trying to talk Angus out of going to Bali. He refused to back down and flagged down a car to hitch a ride. Xanthe went with him inside the vehicle. Later, Ben went home but without Angus and Xanthe. He told them what happened, and tried Xanthe’s phone. She told him that she and Angus hitchhiked, but before she could say anything more, the connection was lost. Sheila and Gary were beside themselves, worrying about Xanthe.

Instead of going straight to the airport, the driver made a detour and said he’s going to pick up some friends for some fun. Xanthe grew suspicious and rummaged the car to see the driver’s identification. She also found out that it was Angus’ first time to hitchhike. They decided to get off the car and ran off. They thought they lost the driver and his friends but saw the car following them. Fortunately, Ben thought of using a phone app to track them down. Gary came just in time to rescue them. At home, Angus returned the money he stole from Karl. After a heart-to-heart talk with Susan, Angus agreed to talk to them about everything and they’ll wipe the slate clean. Angus revealed that he thought Susan and Karl are just nice to him because they felt sorry for him. Susan, however, set him straight and said they genuinely like him for being him. Meanwhile, Xanthe came clean to Gary about stealing Tom Quill’s money.
