Channel Eleven posted a sneak peek for Friday’s episode. In the preview video, Paige says that John cannot think about the future until he knows about his past. However, she tells John that she still cares for him. Digital Spy reports that on Friday’s episode, Paige helps John trace the logo in the van that he saw earlier, which he said looked familiar to him. She discovers that the logo belonged to an engineering company, but when John goes there to ask if he’s an employee, the company denies knowing him. However, when John finds out that the company services boilers, he feels bothered. He then has a flashback, wherein he sees the Lassiters boiler moments before it exploded. It makes him wonder whether he’s the one accountable for the crime.

The teaser also shows Sonya telling Tyler, “I still couldn’t believe that it’s going well as I hoped it would.” Digital Spy spoilers say that Sonya will trust Walter to take care of Nell. All goes well, but when Sonya sees a mysterious message on his phone, she suspects that Walter is still keeping secrets from her.

“Neighbours” recap

On Thursday, Ben was surprised to find out that Angus got away unscathed despite vandalising school property. Thinking that his grandmother will be lenient with him as well, Ben considered confessing about taking Tom’s money so he could ask her for a loan. However, he was only able to come clean about the fundraiser when Susan berated him for it. She told Ben to return the money they raised or she will ground him, and Ben cried it’s unfair. Ben vented his frustrations on Angus and two boys fought. Angus ended up punching Ben’s face and mayhem ensued until Tyler intervened. Karl and Susan found out about the incident and grilled Ben about it. He revealed the reason why he did it: he felt like they were being tough on him but not on Angus.

Susan asked to talk to Karl alone, and she suggested telling Ben the whole story. Karl didn’t agree and said that the cancer should remain a secret. They didn’t know Ben was listening in to their conversation and when he confronted him about it, they had no choice but to tell him the truth. Bent realised that it was the reason why Karl and Susan are going easy with Angus. He felt sorry for Angus and said if it gets too much tense between him and Angus, Ben would leave. Later, Ben apologised to Angus and became nice to him. It made Angus suspicious, but Ben dismissed it and left.

Elsewhere, Piper and Tyler bonded together over driving lessons. They tried not to be awkward even after he left her alone at the house the other night. He apologised for not staying, and the two agreed it’s for the better. They had a moment for a few seconds, before Tyler went down the car and left. Later, when Xanthe was telling Piper about feeling infatuated with Ben, Piper saw Tyler walking down the street and realised she’s feeling the same way for him. Later, Piper invited Tyler over to her house again, but Tyler said it won’t be a good idea. Piper agreed despite being disappointed.

John and Amy were on their way to work, when he spotted a woman with long brown hair. He told Amy that he seems to know her, and Amy told her to follow the woman. He chased the brunette woman, but John was a second too late – she’s already gone. At the café, John and Paige were awkward with each other. Wanting to make John think that she’s not pining for him anymore, she pretended that she’s going out with some guys that she met during her night-outs with Courtney. John took off, and Paige opened up to Amy about her feelings for him. Amy urged her to be honest with John. Paige heeded her advice and went to talk to John. He told her that he’s glad she’s moving on, but Paige said she doesn’t want to. Before she could go any further, John saw the woman again and ran after her. He also saw that the woman rode a white van with a logo and a company name that read Braun & Bell Technologies.
