During the live Q&A, posted on the show’s official web site, Esposito revealed that her character and Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) are no strangers to each other. “There’s some history… he knows her in the past,” the 43-year-old actress teased. She said that something happened in her character’s life that led her to teaching, and Gibbs came in to draw her back in the game.

However, the “Blue Bloods” alum admitted that she’s “not sure yet” how the two are linked. Based on the storyline released by CBS, Gibbs assigns Special Agent Quinn to shadow his team after rejecting eight agents she instructed and referred for the open agent position.

Valdrrama, on the other hand, also said that Torres and Quinn have met before. “She trained him,” the 36-year-old actor said. “They may have had some past together.” He confirmed that his character, Torres, has been an undercover agent for eight years and has dealt with various conflicts such as crossing the line between morality and the law.

The former “That 70s Show” star also admitted that he was a big fan of “NCIS” before he was cast in the series. He and Esposito both raved about Harmon as they look forward to working with the actor. Esposito said that despite playing the same character for 14 years, Harmon still has the energy and excitement for every scene and it sets the tone for the other cast members. “I have most respect for him,” Esposito said.

In addition to Valderrama and Esposito, who claimed they had been friends with each other for such a long time, “NCIS” is beefing up its cast with the addition of British actor Duane Henry, who plays the role of MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves. They join other “NCIS” cast members Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen), Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll), Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and Dr Donald Mallard (David McCallum).

NCIS” Season 14 airs on Sept. 20, 8/7c on CBS. Stay tuned for “NCIS” spoilers and updates.
