'NCIS' Season 14 episode 4 spoilers: Gibbs and his team solve a murder at sea on ‘Love Boat’

An exciting and sensational case is at the centre of “NCIS” Season 14 Episode 4 on Tuesday. In the episode titled “Love Boat,” Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ (Mark Harmon) team gets onboard a large ship to investigate what could be a tricky murder case involving a navy lieutenant.

Teasers suggest that he, along with Alexandra "Alex" Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) work against time to find the killer in the ship before they reach the port. “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” actor Wilmer Calderon and “General Hospital” actress Hayley Erin have signed up as guest stars on the upcoming run. Calderon plays the role of Wayne Cribbage or Tiger Dad, while Erin appears as popstar Kasey Powers.

The two join other “NCIS” cast members who will also be featured on the Oct. 11 episode, including Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham), Nicholas "Nick" Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll), Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and Dr Donald Mallard (David McCallum).

TV Guide reports that on Tuesday’s installment, Gibbs, Quinn and Palmer delve on the death of a navy lieutenant, who was killed during a tiger cruise. Things get more interesting when they find out that at the time the officer was killed, the ship allowed civilians to stay as guests for a night. Meanwhile, McGee ponders over the most romantic way to pop the question on Delilah Fielding.

CBS posted sneak peeks of “NCIS” Season 14 Episode 4. In one trailer, Gibbs informs his team that a dead body is found on the destroyer. The murder case appears to be a controversial one, especially when a pop star seems to be involved. Later, Quinn is told that there’s a killer on board.

In another preview video, McGee shares with Bishop his grand proposal plan. He’ll invite Delilah for a private tour on the Washington monument. They’ll go on top of the building, wait for the sun to set and he’ll get down on one knee and open the box. When the light hits the diamond, he’ll pop the question. Bishop comments that it’s all incredibly nerdy, but perfect. She reckons Delilah will love it, but there’s one hitch: the sun will be in that exact direction six months away from now. As Torres and Bishop observe that McGee is edgy, Gibbs arrives with Quinn and orders him to ask or stop talking about it.

“Love Boat” is directed by Terrence O’Hara and written by Christopher J. Waild. “NCIS” Season 14 Episode 4 also features guest stars Margo Harshman (Delilah Fielding), Andrea Grano (Navy Commander Eleadora Rey), Andrew Bowen (Merrick Gomer), Michael McMillian (David Kemmons), Madalyn Horcher (Navy Seaman Jennifer Baxter), Mike Wade (Navy Petty Officer First Class Tyrell Brown), Darin Toonder (Curt Shapiro), Mary Gallagher (Betty Baxter), Taj Speights (JaVale Brown), Michele Panu (Kirstin Hoyle) and Jason David (Brock Gomer).
