"NCIS" Season 12 premieres Sept. 23 on CBS, and the latest scoop states former "Revenge" star Stephanie Jacobsen is joining the cast as Leia. Viewers are wondering if she is playing the new love interest of Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), who is said to be moving on from Ziva David (Cote de Pablo).

Meanwhile, "Prettly Little Liars" star Troian Bellisario teases fans with an Instagram photo of her and Sean Murray. The step siblings, who play Sarah and Tim McGee, have made fans wonder if they have a new story coming up on NCIS Season 12.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Stephanie Jacobsen's character is "partnered with Agent DiNozzo for a case involving an international terrorist." An earlier report on TVLine said DiNozzo will meet his new love "through a case."

"We'll be mature about it and handle it properly, and Michael's excited about it," showrunner Gary Glasberg told TVLine, teasing what happens to Tony, Ziva and someone new in NCIS Season 12.

"Armed but feminine, sexy and single, cool and confident. A former U.S. Marshal-turned FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force leader, she is flirtatious and adventurous with a sense of humor. Leia is a straight shooter, brash when she needs to be. She isn't afraid to knock down doors or egos," EW described Jacobsen's character.

Emily Wickersham, who plays Ellie Bishop, was cast as a series regular from NCIS Season 12 -- not exactly to replace Ziva David, Glasberg had said. Bishop is an addition to the NCIS family. Jacobsen's Leia, however, could be a different story, particularly for Tony DiNozzo.

In ABC's "Revenge" Season 3, Jacobsen ("Melrose Place" alum) played a trained fighter seeking vengeance over the death of her father, who trained people on a mission to seek revenge through various (often violent) means.

Meanwhile, Troian Bellisario posted this photo of her and Sean Murray on Instagram. She captions the teaser, "Reunion!" (all caps) Many fans were quick to conclude that this is a behind-the-scenes photo taken while the two were filming NCIS Season 12. This is not, however, confirmed just yet.

When NCIS Season 12 premieres in a month's time, fans are hoping to see the good old dynamics among the well-established characters Gibbs (Mark Harmon), Abby (Pauley Perrette), and Ducky (David McCallum), among others.
