G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and company will find themselves in some interesting missions, although at an inconvenient time, in this upcoming episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles.” Fortunately, he and the crew are seasoned enough to take on emergency situations.

Previously, Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) delighted fans after they wittingly took down aging con artists who have been preying on the residents of a nursing home. This also gave them a scary glimpse into what the future may hold.

The official synopsis for this episode , titled “Queen Pin,” provides that Sam (LL Cool J) w ill assume a former alias in a perilous undercover mission to take down an elusive drug lord. Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) will butt in on Callen and Anna Kolcheck’s (Bar Paly) romantic night to assign them to a prisoner escort mission.

This will clearly be one of the more significant episodes for this season when it comes to this relationship. Sam going undercover would also usher a lot of excitement. This is something that works really well for the show. There are many times when these missions get more serious than they are fun, but that’s what makes “NCIS” fans coming back for more.

However, not everything will be ruined for Callen and Anna. Despite having been assigned a strange task at a strange time, the two will still be able to enjoy a road trip . Fortunately, this “date” happens to be part of the efforts to keep the subject in good hands.

The promotional stills for this upcoming episode reveal that things are about to escalate very quickly. From a romantic date, the situation will turn into a shootout as they try to protect the prisoner. It won’t get any easier when bystanders start recognizing who they are protecting on the road.

While this romance turned mission is happening, Sam will also enter a dangerous mission on his own . If he makes the wrong decisions, it could cost him his own life. The YouTube promo shows him having to take a former alias to take down a n ever elusive drug lord. Sam refers to it as similar to playing a game of chess, not checkers; but it looks like he is very confident at succeeding.

NCIS: Los Angeles” airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS in the US. It also airs every Tuesday on the TEN Channel in Australia.
