The New York Knicks, after missing the playoffs for a fourth consecutive season, recently received offers on a possible Kristaps Porzingis trade, per fresh reports. The Latvian big man let known his frustration with the team and reportedly skipped his season-ending exit meeting with team president Phil Jackson and general manager Steve Mills.

When reports of Porzingis' unhappiness in New York surfaced, several teams contacted the Knicks, according to ESPN's Ian Begley. It is unclear whether the discussions led to any substantial trade parameters. Teams were inquiring about trading for Porzingis, 21, after he showed his frustration with the direction of the franchise by skipping the meeting. It likely would take a significant return for the Knicks to consider trading Porzingis, who is entering the third season of his four-year rookie contract," Begley wrote in his report published Friday.

Since selecting Porzingis with the No. 4 overall in the 2014 NBA Draft, the Knicks have lost a total of 101 games despite starting the 2016-17 season with a legitimate shot at making the 2017 NBA Playoffs. However, the team was constantly plagued with chemistry issues, besides mid-season rumours about a possible Carmelo Anthony trade which nearly happened at the NBA Trade Deadline in February.

Kristaps Porzingis trade: Could Knicks actually consider it?

In February, the 21-year-old Porzingis let it rip at the coaching staff and front office after the team suffered an embarrassing loss to the Brooklyn Nets, the worst team in the regular season. The 7-foot-3 power forward said there was confusion from "top to bottom" in the organisation and blamed the coaching staff for most of the woes. He also stressed on the Carmelo Anthony trade rumours and suggested that "a lot of stuff (was) not clear" to players which made it "hard to play".

After flying back to Latvia to prepare for the European Championships this offseason, Porzingis told a news conference that he hadn't made any contract with his NBA franchise in the aftermath of a disappointing season. "I do not want to comment on what happened at the end of the season. I haven't made any contact with the Knicks," he said. When asked if he foresaw a future in the Big Apple, a rather disgruntled Porzingis said: "I don't want to comment on this question. I focus on my job and what I can do now. I believe everything will be OK."

Despite the chatter around a possible Kristaps Porzingis trade, president Csaid in his exit interview that such a move is "off the table" this summer. "Everything has got to be possible, and we have to make sure that if people have something to say, we listen to it, we examine it." Kristaps Porzingis averaged 18.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in his third season with the New York Knicks. He is widely projected as a future franchise cornerstone and multi-time All-Star.
