Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals at the Oracle Arena was Golden State Warrior Stephen Curry’s playground. The game ended with a dominating win of 118-91 for GSW.

The highlight of the game was MVP Curry who snapped GSW out of the shock of the results of Game 1 by scoring 17 points in the third quarter, ESPN reports. He warmed up by scoring 12 points at 82 seconds which completely gave GSW the momentum and the Oklahoma City Thunder left chasing after the dust.

According to Bleacher Report, Warriors’ Andrew Iguolda also set the court on fire with a tally of 14 points, three steals, and three rebounds. Draymond Green helped raise the Warriors up through 10 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks. Not to be outshined, Klay Thompson scored 15 points for the team while aggressively guarding Thunder Russell Westbrook.

The game was intense and as a result, players were more likely to get injuries. In the first quarter, the crowd experienced a scare when Curry came reeling in head first to save a ball from going out of bounds. OKC’s Steven Adams got injured twice but lasted through the entirety of the game, as reported by The Roar.

Despite the amazing play that OKC Thunder displayed in Game 1, they made a series of turnovers, lazy offense, and careless passing which cost them Game 2. Thunder’s dynamic duo Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook found themselves with the weight of scoring for the team. Durant scored 29 points while Westbrook collected 12 in an attempt to chase after GSW. They were the only two players who finished with double figures on their record.

NBA Playoffs series resumes for Game 3 on May 22 (Sunday), 8:00PM ET with Thunder fighting to survive in their home, the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
