A supposed New York Knicks fan wrote a passionate but honest email to the basketball club’s owner, James Dolan. The Knicks’ owner response was simple; be equally passionate and honest and tell the fan what he really wants to say as an owner of the one of the most popular basketball teams in the world.

The letter, as acquired by deadspin.com and posted in full in their website, contained a disgruntled Knicks’ fan opinions on the current state of the Knicks and specifically how Dolan has mishandled the team in his time as an owner of the club.

“As a knicks fan for in excess of 60 years, I am utterly embarrassed by your dealings with the Knicks. Sell them so their fans can at least look forward to growing them in a positive direction,” a certain Mr. Bierman, who claimed to be a N.Y. Knicks fans since 1962 wrote to Dolan. “Obviously, money IS NOT THE ONLY THING. You have done a lot of utterly STUPID business things with the franchise. Please NO MORE.”

Dolan, who is known as one of the more aggressive and outspoken owners in the entire league, did not hold back in his reply “You are a sad person. Why would anybody write such a hateful letter. I am.just guessing but ill bet your life is a mess and you are a hateful mess. What have you done that anyone would consider positive or nice. I am betting nothing. In fact ill bet you are negative force in everyone who comes in contact with you,” Dolan stated in his reply. "You most likely have made your family miserable. Alcoholic maybe. I just celebrated my 21 year anniversary of sobriety. You should try it. Maybe it will help you become a person that folks would like to have around. In the mean while start rooting.for the Nets because the Knicks dont want you.”

The Knicks are currently the worst team not only in the Eastern Conference but in the entire league with a 10-41 win-loss record. Besides star forward Carmelo Anthony, none in the line-up can be considered a shoo-in in their future plans. The good news for the Knicks is that they own their draft pick in the next NBA draft and the selection is most likely going to be a high lottery pick.
