Bandai Namco has released the cinematic opening for “Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.” The new vide, seen below, teases the main playable characters in the game. It runs for almost two minutes, showing glimpses of the powers that the characters can use.

Spotted by Gematsu, most of the opening scenes are action-packed, with the characters preparing to attack. At the end, players are reminded of early access and exclusive content bonuses for the game.

CyberConnect2 has also confirmed via the PlayStation Blog the Sound Four DLC pack. This expansion will bring in the Sound Four Ninja to the latest iteration of the game so they can be playable characters.

It appears that the developer has ensured that the new characters will stick to what fans have come to love about the Sound Four. According to CyberConnect2’s Hiroshi Matsuyama, the team had gone through the manga issues and episodes of “Naruto” just to ensure the best depiction of the additional characters.

Even with the announcement, the developer did not confirm a release date for the expansion. Judging by the revealed concepts and features of the game so far, the DLC will provide more significant content to the already packed game.

CyberConnect2 did a lot of work for “Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.” Apart from the biggest roster to date for the entire franchise, it is also the one expected to bring a bang to the series. Matsuyama also reiterated that the roster is expansive, and that fans will likely see their favourites as playable characters.

Gameplay-wise, CyberConnect2 also introduced the tag team mechanic. It deals with the limitation of the previous system, where only one character gets to be the leader, while the other two provide mere assistance in battle. This expands the game’s battle in terms of strategies and tactics.

Also, what makes “Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” the pinnacle of the series is its Story Mode. Matsuyama goes on to detail how it makes everything fit together in the series in terms of animation, gameplay and music. He even teases that the final battle is something of a spectacle.

“Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” will be released on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on Feb. 5 in Europe and Feb. 9 in North America. It’s set to be the last game in the ‘Ultimate Ninja Storm” series.
