“My Kitchen Rules” ousted contestant Nikki Spehar admitted to a fling with English bloke Steve Flood but it “wasn’t anything special.” The NSW promo girl, who played the game with fellow butcher Katie Brooke, also reportedly tried to hook up with Chris Hemsworth’s cousin Rob.

Viewers of the Seven Network reality show saw Nikki and Katie eliminated from the cooking program on Wednesday night after strategic scoring by their fellow Redemption Round team Kat and Andre. Before the round, though, Nikki and Katie were among the teams competing at the third and secret Instant Restaurant round with Steve and his teammate Will Stewart.

While on air, it’s the VIC advertising executive Emma Wynne who had been flirting with Steve, behind the scenes he was seeing another blonde girl. As Steve told OK! magazine in an earlier interview, his on-cam flirting with Emma was just “all for the camera.” “There was nothing romantic there. We’re strictly friends.”

He had, however, dated Nikki but just for one night out. There would be no wedding bells in their future, though, as Nikki thought he wasn’t boyfriend material.

“It was all just one night out, it wasn’t anything special,” the 20-year-old part-time model revealed to Confidential. “Why not, you are in the moment. It was at the very beginning. I don’t think I regret it.”

So if Steve isn’t the man for Nikki, perhaps Rob is? Nikki hasn’t mentioned Rob, but according to Woman’s Day, the two have dated more than once.

Apparently, she attended a university party during the weekend and blurted to a few attendees that she had hooked up with him. Rob was in the show with mate and fellow oyster farmer Matt Wassnig. They were eliminated by the end of the second Instant Restaurant round.

“Oh she definitely saw the fact that she had bedded Thor as something to show off about. Nikki is an aspiring model and she knows having a Hemsworth connection could be invaluable to her career,” a source claimed, adding that Nikki and Rob are still in touch.

On Wednesday’s episode, Katie and Nikki have been eliminated following Kat and Andre’s devious scoring scheme. The couple gave the girls a measly one point to avoid elimination. Judges Pete Evans and Manu Feildel both gave the girls fairly high scores for their main and dessert, but the guests’ combined scores have put the promo girls to the bottom of the leader board.

“It is a competition and you expect that,” Katie told Confidential, though adding it was “a bit harsh” to get one point.
