Wondering what to watch when your favourite TV show is on a winter hiatus? Mark your calendars! The channels are going to introduce slew of new TV Shows in the beginning of the New Year 2015. These shows are expected to bring lots of new stories and newness for TV buffs. Here is the list of some highly anticipated, not-to-miss new TV shows for premiering soon.

"Agent Carter"

For all those Marvel fans, "Agent Carter" is going to bring back some action while "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is on a break. The show, premiering on Jan. 6, 2015 on ABC, tells the story of Peggy Carter and her adventures as Agent Carter. Hayley Atwell reprises the role of Peggy Carter alongside James D'Arcy (Edwin Jarvis), Chad Michael Murray (Jack Thomspson) and Shea Whigham (Roger Dooley).

"Better Call Saul"

For all the "Breaking Bad" fans, a spin-off show titled "Better Call Saul" premieres on Feb. 8, 2015 on AMC. In the lead role, actor Bob Odenkirk reprises the role of well-loved "Breaking Bad" character Saul Goodman. The show's storyline focuses on Saul's life before he met Walter White and Jesse Pinkman and was a struggling lawyer. Besides Bob Odenkirk, the show features Jonathan Banks, Michael McKean, Patrick Fabian and others.

"Empire"

Another highly anticipated show is a musical drama "Empire" set to premiere on Jan. 7, 2015 on Fox channel. The show tells the tale of a king of hip hop portrayed by Terrence Howard starring alongside Taraji P. Henson and Gabourey Sidibe.

"12 Monkeys"

Based on the 1995 Golden Globe winning movie with the same name, Syfy presents an hour-long drama premiering on Jan. 16, 2015. The show revolves around the time travel adventures of James Cole. Aaron Stanford plays the lead role alongside Amanda Schull, Kirk Acevedo and Noah Bean.

"Togetherness"

HBO presents a new comedy show by Duplass brothers. The eight-part show premiers on Jan. 11, 2015. The show focuses on the lives of married coupled Mark Duplass and Melanie Lynskey. Couple's relationship takes a sharp turn when Melanie's sister played by Amanda Peet and her husband move in with them.

"Last Man on Earth"

The new fox comedy "Last Man on Earth" is one of the most-awaited shows of the year 2015, premiering on March 1. The show will take the viewers into future wherein Will Forte's Phil Miller is the only person living on the face of the earth after a massive wipeout.

"American Crime"

Following the anthology format, "American Crime" is crime drama created by John Ridley. The show debuts on March 5, 2015 on ABC. Starring Felicity Huffman, Timothy Hutton and W. Earl Brown, the show focuses on a murder mystery.

"Wayward Pines"

Based on Blake Crouch's novel "Pines," Fox presents new TV show "Wayward Pines." The storylines revolves around the case of mysterious disappearance of two federal agents being led by Secret Service Agent Ethan Burke, portrayed by Matt Dillon. The show premieres on May, 14, 2015.

"DareDevil"

For comic book fans, "Daredevil" is another TV show to watch out for. The show chronicles the adventures of Marvel character Matt Murdock and his alter ego Daredevil. Charlie Cox plays the titular role alongside Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Ayelet Zurer and more. "Daredevil" premieres in May 2015 on Netflix.

Besides the abovementioned new TV shows, there are few more worth mentioning here. Some more exciting TV dramas are CBS' "Battle Creek" and "CSI: Cyber," ABC's "Secret and Lies" and "Galavant", and BBC's "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell."
