It seems Jared Leto’s role as The Joker in “Suicide Squad” will take after the villain character in “The Dark Knight Returns” if the recent reports are to be confirmed. Likewise, few more descriptions of the character have been revealed along with some supposed scenes in the movie that shows Joker held captive inside the Belle Reve prison. c“Suicide Squad” star Jared Leto debuted pink hairstyle at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday night.

The actor unveiled his pink do when he took to the stage to introduce The Weekend’s live TV debut of his huge summer hit “Can’t Feel My Face," MTV reported. Leto first gave a glimpse of his new look via a tweet. He shared the look on his feed while he was on his way to the show. In the photo, Leto can be seen dressed in a black jacket and polka dotted shirt, and his hair is combed back and is dyed in what appears to be a coral pink shade.

Leto has been teasing about his new hair colour since last week. He took to Instagram on Saturday to share a picture of his hair and eyebrows. The caption of the picture reads, “Hmmm what color next... Ps. Eyebrows are coming back.”

The actor had dyed his hair green and his eyebrows blonde to play Joker in “Suicide Squad.” He ditched his green hair do soon after the production of the film finished. The actor is known for sporting trendy hairstyles, and till last year, he had kept his hair long.

Meanwhile, Leto is regular at MTV VMAs, and his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, has scored a total of 12 nominations over the years. It won MTV2 Award in 2006 for “The Kill” and Best Rock Video in 2010 and 2013 for “Kings and Queens” and “Up in the Air,” respectively.

Meanwhile, the recent trailer of "Suicide Squad" featured Leto's version of Joker. He is seen saying in the trailer, “ I am not going to kill you. I am going to hurt you really really bad." The actor will be seen sporting golden teeth, white face and an array of tattoos.

“Suicide Squad” opens Aug. 5, 2016.
