MSI just launched a “chilled” limited edition of its award-winning gaming PC, the Trident 3 Arctic. The frosty white look isn’t the only thing the Trident series’ newest addition has, it also boasts of a huge performance upgrade.

The Arctic packs a customised GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming graphics card in ITX format and the latest Intel Kaby Lake processor to rise above its same-sized counterparts. With its small form factor, MSI’s latest offering is as compact as it gets, yet the insides account for high-performance PC gaming.

The console-sized Trident 3 Arctic is the world’s smallest VR-ready system. It also allows users to connect a VR headset via a VR Link, the HDMI port on the front side of the unit that has MSI One-click to VR software support. It automatically enhances system performance and inhibits any program from impacting virtual reality immersion.

The MSI Trident 3 Arctic uses Silent Storm Cooling 2 to uniquely keep itself as quiet and breezy as possible. By using separated chambers, the most essential heat-producing components in the system are individually cooled. Noisy fans and overheating hardware are going to be the least of its users’ concerns during gameplay.

MSI’s new PC also features RGB Mystic Light, perfect for those who are into adding personal touches to their hardware. Users can straightaway change the colours and effects of the system’s front-facing LED lights with the use of the Mystic Light App or MSI’s Gaming Centre software.

The MSI Trident 3 Arctic is set to be available in the US in early April and in Europe just before May. No official word has yet to be made regarding its availability in Australia. The limited edition gaming PC comes with a US$1,500 (AU$1,955) price tag.
