November has turned into Movember as a campaign time for growing a moustache which starts Nov.1 in an endeavour to raise funds in battling out men's health issues like prostate and testicular cancers.

From the first day of November, you will start to see more and more men growing moustache. This campaign aims to bring the men's health issues in the forefront, along with raising some funding for the cause.

Crazy as it may seem, this campaign is now on its 10th year Friday, Nov.1. This movement is one of the largest men's health movements in the world which have 21 participating countries.

It all began 10 years back in Melbourne with 30 friends wanting to bring back moustache in fashion. But success led to a yearly campaign of growing moustache throughout November for the sake of charity.

The participants are known as Mo Bros and Mo Sistas as both men and women are welcome to support the earnest endeavor of the campaign of raising awareness and money.

In its first year, the charity was unsuccessful but determined to succeed so they launched again the campaign in the next year and managed some AU$54,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. In subsequent years, it grew globally and in 2012 it successfully raised some AU$156 million with involvement of over a million men and women participants.

The organization has some strict rules to follow for those who want to get involved in such movement.

If you fancy becoming Mo Bro, register yourself at www.movember.com. Women can also participate as "Mo Sista," and help the "Mo Bros" to raise funds and awareness about men's health.

The first and the foremost rule for "Mo Bros" should be clean shaven on the first day of the movement, i.e. Nov. 1.

For the entire month of November each Mo Bro must diligently grow and groom his moustache.

Another strict rule is not to join with your side burns as it is considered a beard or with handlebars to your chin as it considered a goatee.

The last rule stated, "Each Mo Bro must conduct himself like a true gentleman...."

So do you want to be "Mo Bro" or "Mo Sista" this Movember?
