According to Lenovo, all the upcoming smartphones of Motorola in 2016 will feature a fingerprint scanner. SVP Lenovo Group and President of the company's China and APAC regions Chen Xudong confirmed the company plans to a Chinese publication.

Xudong told the Chinese publication that he did not realize why Motorola handsets missed out on the fingerprint sensor last year. Xudong added that all the forthcoming Motorola smartphones will sport a screen size of 5 inches and the company will no longer produce 4.7-inch handsets, according to Android Beat. Moto X had the screen size of 4.7 inches.

Furthermore, Xudong said that Moto handsets will have slight changes in designs to "better suit" consumers from eastern and western parts of the world, notes NDTV. In addition, Lenovo and Motorola are expected to unveil the combined interfaces into a new UI in 2017, reveals Xudong.

After the recent announcements from the company, Xudong notes that the Moto handset aims at the high-end segment while Lenovo’s Vibe will come in the budget segment. The company also recently declared that it would revamp the Motorola brand with “Moto by Lenovo,” reports Chinese site Tech Sina.

Recent rumours cited the enclosure of fingerprint scanner on Motorola's next-generation Moto X smartphone. According to another report, Motorola's fourth-generation smartphone, Moto X (2016), will have a heat pipe technology for passive cooling at the back panel and sport a metal frame design.

Last year, the Droid Turbo 2 was unveiled by Motorola and it features a reliable performance, a solid battery life and shatterproof display.

The device’s 3,760 mAh battery is rated to offer 48 hours of power and has fast charging capabilities. It can charge itself for up to 13 hours in half an hour. Droid Turbo is protected by nano-coating technology thus offering a water-resistant attribute.

Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor and comes with a 21MP rear camera that produces superior quality images.
