The world is swooning over smartphones with large displays and no wonder tech giants are endeavouring to keep up with demand. The latest Motorola flagships, Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2, deliver the best of all features -- big display, high-pixel density screen, high RAM and much more.

Though they share similarities on many counts, there are differences that help you choose the best. What are they?

Display

The Droid Turbo 2 is a tad smaller at 5.4 inches than the Droid Maxx 2 at 5.5 inches. If display quality is your biggest concern, then choose Droid Turbo 2 that packs 1440 x 2660 pixels with 540 ppi pixel density over Droid Maxx 2 that features 1080 x 1920 resolution with 402 ppi pixel density, said reports in Phone Arena. Both have multi-touch screens but the screen technology is different with AMOLED for Droid Turbo 2 and TFT for Droid Maxx 2.

Hardware

Powered by an octa-core 2000 MGHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994, Turbo 2 offers excellent performance with no compromises, according to Phone Arena. In an effort to keep pace with its speed, Maxx 2 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 8939 octa-core 1700 MGHz, which is a bit slower than Turbo 2 but isn’t all that bad.

Droid Turbo 2 is way ahead with massive 64GB in-built storage space leaving behind Maxx 2 with 16 GB in-built memory. Indeed, the Turbo 2 proves handy for photo-enthusiasts that can use its storage expansion capacity of 2000 GB compared to the 128 GB expandable memory available in Maxx 2.

Battery

Battery life is better for Turbo 2 ay 3760 mAh capacity versus the 3630 mAh battery in Maxx 2. Besides, the Turbo 2 comes with wireless charging usability, which isn’t available on the Maxx 2.

After all, buying a smartphone is a huge investment and you should be careful about what you choose. Given any of the above two choices, Motorola Droid Turbo 2 wins the race.
