Motorola's Google partnership should have been the company's greatest move but it still struggled against competitors. This time, analysts are saying that the company appears to be on the right track leaving Google, working under Lenovo and releasing the Motorola Droid. Some even go as far as tagging the latest flagship release as "King of Android" or "Super Android." Does it really deliver?

Lenovo's contribution to Motorola's future may still be unsure but it appears the company is on the right track with the new set of phones revealed. In fact, BGR called the latest Motorola Android phones s the "best Android phones on the planet." Forbes, on other hand, pointed out that Motorola may have a Super Android to offer. If the Moto G and the Moto X were any indicators, then people can see how a contender Motorola can be both on the low end and the high end segment.

As smartphone hardware competition intensifies, manufacturers are always on the hunt for the higher numbers and Forbes considers the Droid Turbo as an "absolute monster." Why the hype? Specs of the device include a 5.2-inch 2560 x 1440 (Quad HD) display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset running on quad-core 2.7GHz Krait CPU as well as quad-core Adreno 420 GPU. It also offers 21-megapixel camera with 3GB RAM and 3900 mAh battery.

The Droid Turbo is not just a monster on the specs but Motorola has taken to experimenting with diffeent materials offering people with two new options this time. The first edition sports a black weave pattern featuring ballistic nylon initially intended for military use. The design stands out from most competitors according to BGR despite available only in black.

The second edition sports a different weave pattern featuring metalized fibers finished with soft-touch rubbery layer that can go in bright red or in black. This provides users with a semi-transparent effect. The look of the device changes depending on the light angle. Specs and design wise, reports pit the Motorola Droid series against big names like the Galaxy Note 4 and the iPhone 6.
