With Google's release of the Moto X phone, the competition in the smartphone market became even stiffer. Samsung, Google and Apple are now poised to battle it out for mobile supremacy. Who will take the cake?

Google finally released their Moto X Phone. It was supposed to be the flagship product that will carry the name of the tech giant in the smartphone market. Many think it is doing fairly well. Others, on the other hand, think the company and Motorola should have thought more of what to put on the phone.

The defining characteristic of the Moto X Phone is its highly customizable nature. People can choose the color of their phone and so forth. The phone will hit stores starting at $199. Since Google is the mind behind the Android platform, many expect the handset to compete well with other companies offering Android on their smartphones.

Among the competitors include Samsung and their Galaxy S4 and HTC One.

The Moto X features a 4.7 inch 720 display. It runs on a same 1.7-GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. The same processor supports the new Droid RAZR Ultra. The mentioned chip offers the newest X8 architecture from Motorola.

Samsung Galaxy 4, on the other hand, is best known for its excellent screen. The Korean tech giant has also released multiple versions to cater to different types of users. One version, the Galaxy S4 Active, features a handset that is both dust and water proof. Users who are often outside or exposed to harsher settings can find the device useful. Likewise, it is also the same as its predecessor measuring at 13.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm. This means users will not have to get used to a bulkier or smaller design. It comes in the same easy-to-grip format.

Many analysts believe the HTC One can be one of the better smartphones out there. The features can compete with most offerings. Some sources even say that if HTC will create a tablet version of the device and explore features like their competitors, they can release a game changer.

Take a look at the list and see how the Motorola X Phone pars with other Android offerings like the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4.
