Moto G users under Boost Mobile will now be pleased to find out that they can now update to Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Motorola and Google have been working on pushing Android releases to Motorola devices as soon as possible. Similar to other rollouts of the company, some users may already be able to update while others may have to wait longer to gain access.

Moto X and Moto G became the first handsets to receive the Android 4.4.4 KitKat. In fact, the two devices are the first third-party units. Users who will be upgrading to the new firmware should not expect much. As Google clarified before, the Android 4.4.4 KitKat software offers only a few minor changes to the system. Nonetheless, the changes are still important and can help enhance user experience.

Motorola has published the complete changelog of the upgrade. According to the company: "AndroidTM 4.4.4, KitKat® - Android 4.4.4, KitKat, is the latest release of the Android platform. This release includes accuracy improvements to the power profile, several stability, framework and security fixes including update to OpenSSL."

Motorola also noted in the changelog that people can expect the following changes on their devices after installation:

-Camera - Pause video recording - Added the ability to pause video recording with a convenient pause/resume button on the viewfinder.

-Updated Phone dialler - Updated Phone dialler with a new graphical layout and colours to improve consistency and usability.

-Enables Motorola Alert Application download - New Motorola Alert application sends periodic alerts with your location to your selected contacts. Now available for download from the Google Play Store.

The software should be available via Over-the-Air or OTA through Boost Mobile. For those under a different carrier, it is best to check with the network provider. Google is also slated to release the Android L sometime around October with the official download on November 1.
