The Moto E is currently considered as the cheapest Motorola in the market today. The upgrade of the Moto E is believed to be the company's way to entice more consumers to jump to its brand. Motorola is also popularly known for improving its current products despite its success in the market like the Moto X and the Moto G which already had second generation versions.The second generation Moto E is rumoured to be out soon and its specs have also been revealed.

Design

The second gen Moto E might retain the over-all look of its predecessor. According to The Fused Joplin, the rumoured device might sport the same design but it is expected that it might have several upgrades. The display might be upgraded to a 4.5-inch qHD screen with 960x540 pixel resolution display, but more improvements on the screen are also being eyed. It is also speculated that the new Moto E will not be as thin compared to the other smartphones in the market, but it is expected to be thick enough to offer a better grip.

Processor and Operating System

The speculated device is expected to run on 1.19 GHz Snapdragon 400 or Snapdragon 410 quad-processor, Christian Post reports. On the other hand, the processor of the original Moto E is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 with 1.2 GHz dual core A7 CPU equipped with Adreno 302 400MHZ single-core GPU. As for its OS, the rumoured device is expected to have the newly released Android 5.0 Lollipop as its platform.

Storage

The second generation Moto E might have 1GB of RAM, however, there is no information yet if the device will allow a microSD card slot. Rumours also say that the new Moto E might be equipped with an 8GB storage which is double the memory size of the older version. In comparison, the original Moto E has a microSD card slot which is expandable up to 32GB.

Price and Release Date

The cost of the rumoured device is still not revealed but is expected to be available for a very low cost, since the original Moto E is currently sold for US$120. The release date of the second generation Moto E is still not disclosed. Furthermore, Motorola hasn't confirmed any of these speculations.
