Teenagers are hooked on social media networking sites one of which is Twitter. From the tiniest of details of their everyday lives to photos of what they'll be having for dinner, sharing has been part of today's technological teenage society. Even celebrity teens are hooked and here are the top ten teens followed on Twitter.

Canadian crooner, Justin Bieber is surprisingly at the top spot. Well, with the latest news of Zayn Malik of One Direction leaving Twitter momentarily, Bieber hit the number one spot as the most followed Twitter teenage celebrity.

Coming in at number two is Justin Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez. The "Who Says" singer along with "Baby" singer, Bieber, also made it to Billboard's most powerful music couple of 2012 landing at the number eight spot.

Selena Gomez's' best friend forever, Demi Lovato hits the number three spot. Demi had also pulled a quick "Zayn" move where she had momentarily quit her Twitter account due to alleged "over sharing."

Gomez and Lovato's co-Disney star, Miley Cyrus also makes it to the list of most followed at number four. Nowadays, with no "Hanna Montana" show and said works on an upcoming album, Miley has been busy updating her Twitter account by the second. From the latest hair make over to the drastic boy cut, Miley has been tweeting non-stop which would equal the amount of followers she gains per tweet each day.

One Direction's Harry Styles is at the number five spot while Niall Horan follows in at number six. Band member, Liam Payne follows short at the number seven spot. Surprisingly, Jonas Brothers' Nick Jonas still has some zest in him because he falls at the number eight spot of the most followed teens on Twitter.

"Keeping Up with the Kardashian's" star, Kendall Jenner makes it to the number nine spot while rumored boyfriend, Cody Simpson follows suit at the number ten spot.

Given the year isn't even over, the chances of Justin Bieber being overturned at the number one spot are high. This would definitely give Zayn Malik of One Direction enough time to gain more followers despite quitting his Twitter account for a day.
