The scorching heat of summer has already begun and for those who would rather hit up the cold, crisp air of the cinemas than the beach, here are a few movies in store this summer of 2012.

From Kristen Stewart's' most anticipated action-packed flick, "Snow White and The Huntsman" to Johnny Depp's' outrageous vampire comedy film, "Dark Shadows", here's all the movies to get in line for.

First off is Kristen Stewart's' flick, "Snow White and the Huntsman" that has got the talented and lovely, Charlize Theron set to play the evil witch and Chris Hemsworth as the rugged yet stunning huntsman.

In an awesome turn of events, Chris Hemsworth trains Kristen Stewart, Snow White, to becoming the warrior set to vanquish Charlize Theron, the Evil Queen. Also starring is the handsome priest from "Pirates of the Caribbean", Sam Claflin who plays Prince William.

"The Avengers" have already assembled in the US for their red carpet film premiere but in a few countries such as in Asia, the film is still highly-anticipated to hit the big screen. Chris Hemsworth also stars in this film as the mighty, Thor who works in alliance of heroes set to save humanity. "Iron Man's'" Robert Downey Jr. along with the sultry, Scarlet Johansson are also part of the film.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone's remake for "The Amazing Spiderman" also hits theaters this year but this story line has an even better twist. Peter Parker sets out to find clues to his parents disappearance and things suddenly get messy when his path collides with Dr. Curt Connors, his old man's' partner. Throw in the beautiful, Emma Stone, and viewers get a taste of romance and action plus the drama all in one film.

For the romantics at heart, Nicholas Sparks' best -selling novel, "The Lucky One" is also set to hit theaters this year. With the hunk heartthrob, Zac Efron cast as the lead female viewers will definitely swoon to his every word and grow green eyes for his leading lady onscreen.

The famous director, Woody Allen has another film up his sleeve that has got a whole lot of high-ranking celebrities cast. A story that revolves around the happenings in Italy, the adventures, the drama and most of all the romance is what has got people dying to see it on the big screen.

While romance may play a factor in Tim Burton's' next film, "Dark Shadows" film remake crosses over to the hilarious side with Johnny Depp and Eva Green. The charming, Chloe Moretz also plays a part in the comedic run down of this 90's classic television series.

Fans of the "Harry Potter" franchise will be glad to hear that half of the Potter cast has given life to the animated Pixar film, "Brave". Kelly MacDonald, known for her role in the "Harry Potter" film as the Grey Lady, takes the lead voice role of Princess Merida who defies all customs in her kingdom and sets out to undo a beastly curse.

As for those who want pure action without the drama and the romance, "The Dark Knight Rises" starring Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway, "Prometheus" starring Charlize Theron and "The Bourne Legacy" starring Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz are all set out to hit the theaters these coming months.

While "The Hunger Games" still continues to dominate the box office, soon enough these up and coming flicks will be able to knock off "The Girl on Fire" at the top of the list.
