With barely a month before the release date of “Mortal Kombat X,” developer NetherRealm Studios has started teasing a new “-ality” to get the hype and the gore going. During the Kombat Kast, it was revealed that the “Quitality” will also be coming to “Mortal Kombat X.”

This is mainly targeted for those who will quit the game or drop out in multiplayer combats. According to IGN, Quitality is pretty much a pat on the back for players who are left standing in the match after the opponent quits. This is because the head of the combatant who quits will explode.

“If you quit, your head blows up and the other guy wins,” said the developer as quoted by IGN. While the going gets tough in online fights, it appears that it is better to fight until the end, because quitting in the middle will put the points on the opponent’s scoreboard anyway.

Apart from this, VG 24/7 also reports a couple of new announcements and sneak peeks for other combatants in the game. Mileena, a recently confirmed fighter in the roster, has gotten her variations, which are Ethereal, Ravenous and Piercing. Two other characters, Shirai Ryu and Kung Jin also got their variations revealed. Interestingly, the Test Your Luck mode is coming back to “Mortal Kombat X.” This time, it will be bringing in seven modifiers that can be chosen in Kustom Kombat mode.

Creative Director Ed Boon also previously teased the “Mortal Kombat X” fight sticks in a tweet. The developer has now confirmed that the PS3 sticks will work with the PS4 version of the “Mortal Kombat X.” Polygon reports that two existing fight sticks have been confirmed to be supported by the game. One is the 2011 Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition fight stick and the 2013 “Injustice: Gods Among Us” fight stick. Boon has not confirmed if there are fight sticks that will be available for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

“Mortal Kombat X” may also already have gone gold, if the newest tweet is any indication. Eventhubs managed to capture an image off on Boon’s Twitter page. This shows that the “Mortal Kombat X” logo has turned gold. For those who are unfamiliar, a game goes gold when it has already undergone development and is moving on to the shipping phase of distribution. This is logical, considering that the expected release date is already on April 14.
