With five Oscar nominations and another one for Best Supporting Actor under his belt, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that Morgan Freeman is a great actor. At 77, he continues to be relevant in the film industry. This, in spite of having a non-functional left hand, too. Morgan does not like to gloss things over though. He shared that at his age and with the problem of his left hand, the roles he could take on are starting to be limited already. The actor claimed his career is already downhill.

In an interview with Telegraph UK, the "Invictus" actor shared he can tell his career is not what it used to be anymore. This realisation makes him humble with the roles he is being offered.

"I'm on the downside of my career. It can't go on much longer," he said.

There is no reason to take pity on him though. He got nothing left to prove anymore. His acting chops have long been validated. This is not surprising, considering it was really his dream to act and become someone big in the movie industry. He played his first leading role at the tender age of nine in school. He even won a statewide drama competition at the age of 12.

He joined the air force at 18, but knew fully well this was only because it was the easier path to take. His heart apparently was not on it. So just four years in the military, he decided to try his luck out in Los Angeles and took up acting lessons. The rest is, of course, history. This should be credited to him being persistent and determined.

The actor said he dreamt of being on Hollywood was cemented on his mind since he was 15. He embraced that dream until he achieved it. This is why he wants kids these days to give their everything in pursuing their dreams. "Sitting here now I can say to any kid growing up, you'll get what you want, you just have to know what that is, and I always did. And I put it before anything, everything," he detailed.

No wonder he told HitFix that acting is not hard when being interviewed for "Dolphin Tale 2." Acting is his calling after all and he embraced it all throughout his life. In fact, he just might be the only one who thinks his acting career is on a downhill.
