Very recently, HTC revealed that the upcoming 2015 flagship handset will not be called the "HTC One (M9)." Instead, the smartphone will be referred as "HTC Hima."But now, the information pertaining to the features and specifications of the HTC Hima handset have been revealed.

According to earlier reports, the HTC Hima (or HTC One M9) will reportedly sport a 5-inch display, bundled with 1080p resolution, which is a replica of the current-generation flagship HTC One (M8). Many doubted the report stating that how can the new flagship come with the same display configuration as its predecessor? Meanwhile, some believed that although HTC maintained the same display specification, the bezels surrounding the screen might have been cut down to build a smaller handset. However, now, a fresh report from the credible tipster @upleaks says the HTC Hima will be "almost as large as the One (M8)," reports Phone Arena.

According to @upleaks, the upcoming flagship device will reportedly measure 144.3 x 69.4 x 9.56 mm, whereas the HTC One (M8) has a dimension of 146.36 x 70.6 x 9.35 mm. Going by the aforesaid measurements, there is hardly any difference between the two handsets. In case, this is the final/official dimension, the Hima/One (M9) will definitely come with dual speakers on the front of the device, opines the same site.

Apart from confirming the size, @upleaks also revealed some of the key specifications of the HTC Hima. Apparently, the Hima will run on Android v5.0 Lollipop OS, along with HTC's own Sense v7.0 UI. The phone will reportedly be powered by an octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 810) processor and will be backed by a solid 3 GB of RAM configuration. Notably, this device will support VoLTE and LTE Category 6 connectivity. When it comes to camera specification, the handset will reportedly house a killer 20.7 MP rear-facing unit, similar to the Sony Xperia Z3. Meanwhile, the frontal camera unit has not been confirmed as yet. If reports are true, the device could sport either a 4 MP Ultrapixel unit or a 13 MP regular snapper. Lastly, the whole configuration will reportedly be held together and powered by a modest 2,840 mAh battery unit.

As far as the release date goes, the HTC Hima is expected to hit the store shelves sometime in March 2015. Plus, HTC will reportedly offer the device in three different hues namely grey, silver and gold. What do you think of the HTC Hima? With almost no difference in display configuration, can the upcoming flagship device survive? Feel free to leave a comment.
