After 14 years of public disappearance, Monica Lewinsky is back in the news. She delivered a high profile speech at Forbes' 30 Under 30 on the issue of cyber bullying and her confrontation with agents and lawyers at the time of President Bill Clinton investigation that has penned in the government recently leaked report.

While speaking about the confrontations, Lewinsky churned out some inside details that she was threatened with 27 years in jail in charge of several crimes, if she does not admit her affair with the President. "My friends and my family were subpoenaed to testify against me," said the 41-year-old former White House intern.

A recent report obtained by CNN on Friday also substantiates her story which states that Lewinsky was mistreated by agents and lawyers in January 1998. She was not treated well while they tried to incorporate her into an investigation of President Bill Clinton.

The report states clearly that lawyers who were involved in her confrontations although did not do anything unofficial or illegal, still the whole matter could have been handled in a better way. The team of FBI lawyers and agents was led by Ken Starr who was investigating Clinton for various issues including his extramarital relations, as told by CNN.

In a desperate attempt to gain her cooperation, Associate Independent Counsel Michael Emmick threatened her that she could be prosecuted on multiple criminal charges if she does not comply. The agents and lawyer also reportedly denied Lewinsky to speak to her lawyer Frank Carter. The whole interrogation session lasted for 12 hours.

The report which came out in 2000 was surprisingly and questioningly was not marked sealed or confidential. The National Archives forwarded the report to CNN because of the fact that it was not marked as sealed.

This update came at the time when Lewinsky is again making her mark in the public eye after more than a decade. She has recently started contributed to Vanity Fair Magazine and been writing some stories on cyber bullying and her life after the infamous affair with the President. For past 16 years, she had been living an isolated life until her powerful and emotional speech in the Forbes summit.

Lewinsky is now working towards the cause of cyber bullying through her column in Vanity Fair as she, admittedly, claimed that she was the first person ever at the center of an internet cyber bullying scandal that shook the whole world.
