John Legend will soon be PDA-ing across some tropical beach, kissing and cuddling with his soon-to-be wife. Yes, the "Ordinary People" singer finally got the green light for marriage!

"The Grammy-winning soul singer popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, over the holidays, his publicist confirms," as E! News reported regarding the said holiday engagement.

Chrissy Teigen is of Thai-Norwegian ancestry, and is an American model. She made her debut in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Before the Sports Illustrated stint, she appeared as cover girl for the 2007 calendar of MAXIM.

Different campaigns she modeled for include Rock and Republic, Billabong, Fredericks of Hollywood, Garage Clothing, and even for Victoria's Secret's PINK fall campaign in 2009. Currently, she is represented by Vision Management in LA and IMG Models in New York.

The two has been dating for four years.

"Legend's rep, Cindi Berger, tells us the pair-who've been dating since 2007-got engaged 'while vacationing in the Maldives.' No other details were disclosed," continued E! News about the crooner and supermodel.

John Legend is the winner of nine Grammy Awards. He first broke through as an artist in 2--5 with his debut album "Get Lifted" which created two singles, "Ordinary People" and "Used to Love U." in 2006, the album "Once Again" created various singles that included "Save Room," "P.D.A. (We Just Don't Care)," among many others. The 2008 album "Evolver" carried the single "Green Light."

The 2010 album "Wake Up!" is a collaborative effort from Legend and The Roots, which won both parties several Grammies for the album. This, however, is not the first time Legend has collaborated with another artist. From the dawn of his career not only has he produced for different artists, but he have also sang for the likes of T.I., Kanye West, The Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey, and even Stephen Colbert.

The songwriter is set to return to the US from tour to headline a concert at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, to be held on New Years' Eve.

As Legend and Teigen are planning to tie the know, there are other models who have already said their vows to each other.
