The Miss World 2014 crown goes to the 22-year-old girl Rolene Strauss from South Africa. This year, the two beauties who came close to winning the crown are Miss Hungary Edina Kulcsar and Miss USA Elizabeth Safrit. Miss Hungry was announced the runner-up, while Miss United States Elizabeth Safrit won the second runner up title at the Miss World 2014 competition, which was held on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at ExCel London.

Miss Hungary's answer to the question "Why do you think you should be crowned the next Miss World?" killed her chance to wear the 2014 Miss World crown. On social media, many thought that she looked nervous, as she fumbled answer to the question asked to all the five finalists. Edina mostly talked about how she is unique and has it in her to bag the crown. Despite her uninspiring answer, she was crowned the first runner up. She also made it to the Top 5 Miss World Top Model and Sports & Fitness challenge events. The brunette beauty is a professional model who has been in this career since the last four years. According to E Online, Edina is also a former finalist at the 2009 Miss Plastic Hungary beauty contest. The contest featured girls who had undergone plastic surgery to highlight its benefits.

The second runner up of Miss World 2014 is Miss United States of America, Elizabeth Safrit. She is a graduate in political science from the University of Southern California. She is passionate about dancing since a young age. Elizabeth aspires to become a political broadcaster. A trained Pointe Ballet dancer, Elizabeth loves to keep her body fit and regularly exercises. She likes to wear her running shoes and go running and she also indulges in Bikram Yoga.

The top five semi-finalists were from Hungary, Australia, United States, South Africa and England. At the 64th annual competition of Miss World 2014, girls from 121 countries participated.
